The Montgomery County Hospital District (MCHD) accepted delivery of an integrated photo identification system designed by Indigent Healthcare Solutions (IHS). In 2004 MCHD indigent health care director Kelly Curry had approached IHS requesting a seamless interface to IHS software for capturing and integrating an applicant’s photo so that it could be printed onto an identification card issued by the hospital district. According to Mr. Curry, the implementation of the seamless photo and identification card system has significantly reduced fraud in Montgomery County by preventing unauthorized individuals from using another individual’s prescription card.
